The Factor Levels - Target Series page is where you select the target job series to guide the AI in determining which reference to use for factor level development.
To access the position details page, select Request, select Factor Levels, then select Target Series.
The following elements are displayed:
- Target Job Series. This drop-down allows you to choose the job series that best describes the position. For instructions, see: Selecting the target job series.
- Primary AI Classification Standard(s). This identifies the standard or guide the AI will use to suggest Factor Level content. To review the standard/guide, select the name of the standard/guide to open the OPM resource.
- Back. This allows you to go to the previous screen.
- Continue. This allows you to continue to the next step in the process.
-
Request Details. This buttons allows you to view the Request Details. For More information, see: Request DetailsRequest Details.
-
Documents. This buttons allows you to view Documents uploaded to this request. For More information, see: Documents.
-
Major Duties. This button allows you to view the Major Duties for this request.
Notes:
- The system supports factor development for nonsupervisory 9-factor FES series using only one classification standard/guide.
- The official series determination will be made in the final stage of the workflow.
- If you are working a mixed series position, you can edit the AI-generated content to provide information for the occupation not covered.
- You can also run the factor workflow using one of the standards/guides, export the output but do not click Submit during the Preview & Submit step, then go back to run the factor workflow for the other series, incorporating information from the first run as appropriate.
- Alternately, you could upload the Major Duties into a second PD request, using the “Yes, use exactly as written” option. This would allow you to run two concurrent requests and manually combine the information as described above.
- Unsupported series are “grayed out,” but they will show in black text as selectable as future functionality is added. If your target series is unavailable, classifiers could choose to select a similar series for factor development, as appropriate to the duties, and make manual edits to the AI-generated factor level language.
